Our tour guide pick you up from your hostel to start our trip exploring the South of Vietnam. Our first destination is Cu Chi tunnels, underground defensive systems at Cu Chi district, 70km southwest of Ho Chi Minh city. Cu Chi tunnels is around 121km in length with ventilations at slum of tree. Cu Chi tunnels were dug in period of Indochinese war and Vietnam war, located in a place so-called “ steel land”, at the end of Ho Chi Minh trail.

Itinerary
Our tour guide pick you up from your hostel to start our trip exploring the South of Vietnam. Our first destination is Cu Chi tunnels, underground defensive systems at Cu Chi district, 70km southwest of Ho Chi Minh city. Cu Chi tunnels is around 121km in length with ventilations at slum of tree. Cu Chi tunnels were dug in period of Indochinese war and Vietnam war, located in a place so-called “ steel land”, at the end of Ho Chi Minh trail.
These tunnels are used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spot during combat in Vietnam war. Trying experience as a Viet Cong soldier running inside the tunnels and shooting AK47 and M16 gun , which make sure you have fantastic feeling. Continuing our trip, we drive along Ho Chi Minh trail to Dong Xoai town. On the road, we will stop to visit minority hamlets, tropical fruit farms, war relics. Arriving to Dong Xoai, we sleep in a hotel.
Leaving Dong Xoai, we continue our trip to explore highland on Ho Chi Minh trail. During driving on the road, you have chance to understand more about Vietnam wars by visiting war relics. Also , we visit a famous minorrity village, Soc Bom Bo, with majority is S’tieng people, to know about their special life, their customs and habits. After that, we drive to Dak Mil and sleep in a hotel here.
Talking about high mountains and thick forests, it is a missing if we don’t mention to Buon Don which is not only famous for villages of Ede minority people with special houses on stilts deeply typical Highland architecture, but also well-known by elephant-hunting King, Ama Cong legend, who hunted and domesticated over 170 wild elephants. Visiting Amakong house, you will have chance to see all equiments for elephant hunting.
Ethnic group character, specific culture and habits and customs of Ede people, and all beauty of view and people here make Buon Don becoming the most famous brand name of Dak Lak tourism.By the end of our day,we sleep at Eden hotel.
Have Breakfast and enjoy highland café at the hotel. The second day trip in our journey, we will visit one of huge waterfalls in Vietnam- Draynur waterfall. On the way to the waterfall, we visit a famous traditional handicraft village (product drums). At Draynur Waterfall, you can enjoy grandiose mountains of Highland, swim in cool nature water and relax.
Next destination is Lak Lake ( Ho Lak). You will walk along wild paths to Lak lake. Besides, we visit sweetscented cocoa plantation. Stopping at Ho Lak, you will have new experience in sleeping in a traditional house on stilts ( Nha san) of ethnic minority people.
After breakfast, you continue to explore a remote mountain village of Mnong people while you are riding elephant.
After that, we drive along Highway 723 to Da Lat. Twisty roads, tortuous passes, and deep green coffee and pepper farms in 2 sides of the road ensure to bring a fantastic feeling to you.
You will enjoy Highland purely typical foods at a local restaurant. After lunch, we head to Thac Voi ( elephant waterfall), silk factory, and try some Chon coffee ( weasel coffee- the most delicious coffee kind) at a local farm. Also, you have chance to know some famous coffee.
After breakfast and coffee at the hotel, we leave from dreamlike highland city to our beautiful Nha Trang city. Tour guide will lead you to visit Crazy House, one of the most bizarre house in the world, voted by People’s daily; train station ( the most beautiful train station in Indo-China in 19330s and most ancient in Vietnam today); Linh Phuoc Pagoda or chua Ve Chai ( special architecture from glasses).
Highway 27, the main route from Da Lat to Nha Trang, is one of the most beautiful road in Vietnam that everyone should have experience at least once of our life with amazing tortuous pass. When you are at the peak of the pass, you can even touch floating cloud and breathe the freshest air which bring to you a wonderful feeling like in paradise. You can stop some place on the pass to take photos. If the weather is nice, you can bath under waterfalls on sides of the road and relax. Our journey will be finished at Nha Trang.
